Working over a decade in the field of media relations, online storytelling and all aspects of social media, has sharpened my sense of what is needed for on location production and having the right influential contact to today’s more complex dynamics of how to craft, present and promote a story that will capture audience attention.
As a television news and documentary producer, I combine my natural familiarity and extensive contacts in the capitals of Europe and North America to bring efficiency to any production. For example, I produced two segments on the contrasts of the two Irelands for HDNet’s World Report in America, interviewing everyone from government leaders to sheep herders to precisely capture an authentic story of the countries.
An early adopter of the digital revolution and new media channels, I managed major outreach programs while stationed in Washington, DC, which has rewarded me with rich credentials in the world of NGOs, international not-for-profits and corporations. A skilled online news and information website publisher, I championed the integration of effective story-telling on these diverse platforms into my organizations’s communications plans and spearheaded a number of multimedia internet campaigns.
I assist international media crews visiting Ireland with:
- securing key interviews,
- organizing locations for shoots,
- securing permits for shoots where permits are required,
- handling logistical issues such as travel and accommodation,
- liaising with various councils and organizations such as the Tourist Boards.
- I am also fluent in Italian and Spanish, and speak good French.
If your media crew needs a liaison and fixer on the ground here on the whole island of Ireland, I am that person, and can communicate in any of four languages. I have a wide network of connections throughout the island, with the relevant tourism boards, various local councils, journalists, politicians, artists, musicians, etc.
