Zomppa.com is a food magazine blog that I have had the pleasure of being involved with over the past year.  The whole concept of “Zomppa”, which is the Tibetan word “to meet,” is to bring people, play and passion together under the banner of food. Food is much much more than just what we eat, it has so many socio-cultural-economic-political facets to it, and through this blog we endeavour to explore these in a fun, colourful and educational way. You will also find plenty of original yummy recipes!

I want to give a special shout out to the ladies that contribute to the Zomppa food blog.  I mean I know that I am slightly biased about this blog as I helped set it up and occasionally write for it, but they put up quality posts and recipes, and mouth-watering photos.

Taken from the Tibetan word “to meet”, the Zomppa blog aims to address the various issues that come up when food and people come together.  It explores how different cultures and education contribute to this relationship, and provides a platform to raise questions, challenge assumptions, and dispel myths. It is meant for us to enjoy the process of sharing these lessons and good food with our community, our children, and our families.
